Posted on January 29, 2010
I am so honored to be featured on the super chic Bride’s Cafe blog with Lauren & Michael’s Williamburg wedding. Janie runs the Bride’s Cafe blog and always fills it with the most beautiful weddings, awesome DIY’s, and other amazing wedding planning ideas. If you are planning a wedding or just love anything having to do with weddings (like me ; )) then bookmark her blog!
Thank you to Janie for the nice compliments you gave me in your post…and thank you to Lauren & Michael for planning such a perfect event!
Also, I am still out of town…this has been the craziest winter ever! I have been without my computer (i.e. all editing software!) my entire winter! I MISS IT! Posting should commence in about a week or two. : )
Why the Dry Spell?
Posted on December 1, 2009
This post is long overdue, but the reason I’m not posting on my blog is because I am out of town! My husband is a 4th year medical school student at Georgetown and I’ve been following him from California (UC Irvine) and now to Utah while he was doing month long rotations at these different medical schools. We’re going to stay in Utah to spend the holidays with our family.
I will be back in town January 4th, and I will be post some sessions after I get back! Until then, here’s a little sneak peek at wedding I never got around to posting!
Lauren & Mike - Williamsburg, VA
Posted on June 12, 2009
I am so thrilled to share my favorites from Lauren & Mike’s wedding with you! They had the most beautiful wedding in Williamsburg, VA last weekend. Lauren is honestly one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever met, inside & out. Her & Michael are two extremely kind and intelligent people and make an amazing couple.
The wedding was held at the historic Wren Chapel of William & Mary. It was the perfect setting for this beautiful, elegant wedding. I love the way the congregation faces each other in the Wren chapel. And the service was beautiful…filled with teary, loving glances between Mike & Lauren. The reception was held outside in a tent at the Alumni House of William & Mary. They hired an extremely talented live band, The Hotcakes, and their energy was contagious!!
Everything throughout the day went so flawlessly because of Michelle, their wedding planner. She & Lauren planned beautiful details for the wedding, and the way they came together couldn’t have been any more perfect. And Janie is an absolute floral genius and did a fabulous job with all the flowers. They were the icing on the cake in all the photos. ; )
Here are my favorites!
Lauren looking lovely as ever in her beautiful coral getting ready dress
Lauren’s parents are two of the kindest people in the world. I LOVED Lauren’s mom’s face when she saw Lauren’s hair all done!
Lauren had 2 pairs of back-up shoes for her “uncomfortable” shoes…these are pair #2 ; )
I told you Janie was a genius. Here’s all the bridesmaids’ bouquets!
And a close-up of a bridesmaid & the bridal bouquet. Pay close attention to the ribbon on the bridesmaid bouquet & Mike’s tie!
We had a few minutes before the ceremony to get some bridals in the Wren building
Thanks to Chris for coming down and helping me shoot the wedding! He snagged that handsome portrait of Mike while I was with Lauren.
Lauren is stunning!
Chris shot this beautiful moment right before Lauren’s dad walked her down the aisle…while I was waiting for them inside.
Lauren was so, so, SO happy walking down the aisle looking at Mike
And can you see the tear in Mike’s eye as he watches his bride come toward him?
There were so many adorable glances between these two, but this one during a prayer was my favorite : )
Love how Mike wraps Lauren’s arms around himself!
Props to whoever designed the Wren chapel for this shot, I LOVE how you can see all the guests clapping.
Their wedding favors were these beautiful boxes of cookies!
My angle left, Chris’ right
Lauren took her veil out for the party & put in a flower, this is my fav portrait of them!
The Hotcakes rocking out, thanks to Chris for this awesome shot!
The dance floor got PACKED!
I could not have asked for a more perfect wedding to shoot!

I can’t wait for your return. You have been missed… BIG TIME!!!
Ah, so that’s it! Darn, I was going to send someone your way for portraits, but I think she was hoping to do them in December. Safe travels and can’t wait to see some more posts when you get back! BEAUTIFUL image, by the way.
Glad you are still alive! This is one gorgeous bride. Awesome captured.
